This is an excellent opportunity for students to take part in an applied learning project! 

Teams of students from grades 7 - 12 can apply to assist in designing and constructing various components of the payloads for the Super Loki Rocket and the Weather Balloons to be launched on May 10.

Date: Saturday, May 10, 1997. 
Raindates: May 11 & 12. 

MODEL ROCKETS: 

Participating students will be launching completed model rockets and smaller weather balloons at designated times

 

The Aerospace Education Department and the Delaware AeroSpace Education 

Foundation in conjunction with other supporting agencies including Delaware Technical & Community College, Department of Transportation, Delaware State Parks, Delaware Air National Guard, Civil Air Patrol, Lieutenant Governors Office,the Dover Air Force Base, Air Force Association, Bartol Research Institute, Delaware Department of Public Instruction/Technology Education and the Aerospace States Association are working to host Delaware's first sub-orbital rocket launch from Cape Henlopen State Park on Saturday, May 10, 1997. 

This historic launch will rank Delaware as a launch state.
